What is MACHT

Not a strategy game. A living universe.

MACHT is a cosmic sandbox. You are not a player chasing a win condition. You hold the tools to shape an entire universe: seed galaxies, breathe life into worlds, then step back and watch civilizations rise, scheme, and fall entirely on their own.

Step in at any scale, from a single bloodline to the fate of a galaxy, or simply watch the story write itself. Galaxies are generated procedurally as far as you choose to travel: endless, like the real cosmos, each from its own seed, with real interstellar distances between them.

Fly from the surface of a planet, through its atmosphere, across its solar system, out into the galaxy and onward to other galaxies. One continuous world, no loading screens, with real physics running underneath at every step.

Two Ways to Play

Build a cosmos, or inherit one.

VOID

Creation Mode

Begin with nothing but the Heart of the Universe. No stars, no worlds. Only you. Forge your own galaxies, one decision at a time, and author a cosmos that has never existed.

WATCHER

Observation Mode

Step into a universe already alive: procedurally built, infinite, and turning without you. Roam freely, intervene where you wish, and follow the stories already in motion.

Systems

Depth in every layer.

Dozens of deeply simulated systems interlock to produce stories no script could write.

A Living, Dynamic Universe

Events at every scale, from local to galactic to universe-wide, cascade through a living, ever-changing cosmos.

Real Physics

Kepler's laws and real orbital mechanics drive every system. Stars, worlds and galaxies move by the same rules as our own universe.

Galaxy Maps

Navigate layered galaxy maps, mark any coordinate and fly straight to it. The further you travel, the more universe is generated.

Empires: War & Diplomacy

Tech trees, fleets, alliances and betrayals. Civilizations expand, trade, negotiate and go to war as the balance of power shifts.

Genetics & Biology

Engineer your own species in a living DNA editor. Hundreds of genes and traits, each with real buffs and trade-offs that ripple through population, war and culture.

Dynasties & Characters

Living royal trees, councils and successions. Commanders, chancellors and heirs are born, rule, marry and die, and the line goes on.

Legends: Write History

Describe the universe you imagine and watch it become real. The story you author is staged at the moment it should happen, without ever touching the code.

Mythology

Myths and legendary figures ripple between worlds, carried from one civilization to the next. Watch a legend spread across an entire galaxy.

Planetary Descent

Fall all the way to a living surface. A deep planetary layer lets you descend onto the worlds you shaped from orbit.

Direct the Simulation

Run your own universe simulation. Create, edit and fine-tune at any scale: every character, every world, every law of physics is yours to adjust.

Virtual Reality

Hold the universe in your hands.

MACHT includes a native OpenXR VR mode built around a single idea: you are not a pilot in a cockpit. You are the god of this universe, and it floats within reach of your hands.

Energy Hands

Your hands become instruments of creation. Seize stars and planets, feel their mass resist you, and hurl them across the void.

Move the Cosmos

Pan, turn and pull the entire universe with both hands. Scale is a tool, not a limit: a galaxy fits between your palms.

Gestures of Creation

Ignite a newborn protostar with a gesture, or summon worlds from a vortex of light in your palm, guided by haptic feedback.

Celestial-Scale Travel

Warp between systems and galaxies with a flick of the controller. Comfort vignetting keeps flight at celestial speeds smooth.

One purchase, one build: the same Steam version runs flat on desktop or in VR on any OpenXR headset.

Under the Hood

Real equations. Not approximations.

MACHT runs on a custom engine built by a single developer over years, and it is documented like a research project, because it is one. Where a governing physical equation exists, the engine implements it. Appearance is a consequence of the physics, not a substitute for it.

One Continuous Frame

A single 1:1-scale coordinate system spans roughly 17 orders of magnitude, from sub-metre surface detail to intergalactic gigaparsecs, with no scene transitions and no loading screens. A double-precision floating-origin architecture and logarithmic depth make it possible.

Verified Orbital Mechanics

A fourth-order symplectic N-body integrator conserves energy and momentum to better than 1 part in 10¹³ and reproduces Kepler's third law to 1 part in 10¹⁵. Measured on the shipping build, not on paper.

Full Stellar Lifecycle

Protostars ignite, stars age, red giants engulf their inner planets, and remnants branch by mass into white dwarfs, pulsars and black holes. Binary stars transfer mass through Roche-lobe overflow; stars that stray too close to black holes are torn apart in tidal disruption events.

Relativity, Rendered

Black holes bend light along the true Schwarzschild geodesic with an analytically placed photon ring and shadow. Doppler beaming, gravitational-wave warps, dark-matter lensing and traversable wormholes (the Interstellar model) all run from the same equations.

Galaxies from Astrophysics

Every galaxy holds 8 million to 100 billion stars, sampled from textbook galactic distribution functions (exponential disk, de Vaucouleurs bulge, four-arm spiral field) inside an unbounded universe anchored by real Local Group galaxies such as Andromeda and M33.

Editable 1:1 Planets

Walk on, and dig into, watertight voxel planets with real 6,371 km radii and detail down to 0.78 m. Physically based atmospheres, volumetric clouds, and oceans computed to millimetre precision on a planet-sized sphere.

Molecular Genetics

Heredity is modelled down to DNA bases and codons across five kinds of life, from organic to synthetic. Genes gate technologies, matching a species to its world changes history, and the right genome can evolve toward biological immortality.

Minds, Not Stat Blocks

Civilizations carry an anatomically structured brain model with ten regions, four neurotransmitters and over seventy psychological traits. Its mental state mechanically drives production, research, war and diplomacy.

Emergent History

Empires fracture from economic unrest or court intrigue, never from scripts. An append-only chronicle regenerates legends, mythologies, and entire procedural languages on demand, so every world writes its own epic.

The Fate Writer

Describe the future in plain language, in English or Turkish, and MACHT parses your prose into sealed decrees that reshape the universe at the exact moment they should happen.

Deterministic Worlds

The same seed always produces the same universe, bit for bit, across sessions, saves, and even between CPU and GPU. Histories are reproducible and fully recoverable from compact state.

About the Studio

Kestro Games

Kestro Games builds worlds where ancient Turkic myths collide with futuristic technology. It is the home of ÖTÜKEN and MACHT: Cosmic Engine.

MACHT is developed end-to-end by a single developer: engine, physics, simulation, art pipeline and tooling, all built from scratch in C++ on Vulkan. It began as an attempt to dissolve the oldest tension in world simulation, scale versus precision, and became a universe where the same continuous frame holds a walkable planet surface and a supercluster of galaxies.

The project is documented in a technical paper covering its symplectic orbital mechanics, relativistic rendering, procedural cosmos, molecular genetics and emergent civilization systems.
